Best Fit for More Horses
We started tying halters to begin with because we needed somthing better for our own horses. Many of the halters on the market were not made of the best rope, but especially didn't fit our horses.
Many of the halters out there are designed way to long in the nose and cheeks for most horses. This limits the effectiveness of the halter and often times has the nose knots sitting on a fleshy and too sensitive spot on the horse's nose. We fixed this on the Top Knot Halter. The purpose of the knots on a rope halter are to aid in communication, but this is best accomplished near pressure points in front of the bones on the horse's cheek. Also, the Top Knots sit slightly higher than some popular halters which aid in gaining leverage on the horse's head. Finally, by trying the Top Knot Halter on every horse in the barn, we came up with a fit for the nose, sides, and the longer tie end that can be used for a variety of different horses.
