Having trouble tying your halter knot? Tying the knot correctly will make it easier to loosen when removing and keep the tie end out of your horse's eye.
Step One: Back to FrontBring the tie end over the poll and through the tie loop from the back to the front towards you.
Pull the tie end through the loop to the point you would like the halter tightened.

Step Two: Behind the Loop
With your right hand, hold your fingers on the tie end at the top of the loop against your horses neck to prevent loosening.
With your left hand, bring the tie end back up and behind the tie loop. |

Step Three: Around and ThroughDrop the the tie end back over
the tie loop and down under the end that first came through the loop. Tighten, and this completes the loop!

The Final Knot
You have tied the knot correctly if it appears to be tied around the loop. If the knot tightens down during use,
you can push the two loops away from each other to loosen. The Top Knot tie end has been made longer for easier tying and adjustment
on different horses, so be sure to tuck this back under the halter below the label to keep the end under control. |
